WATER DAMAGE REPAIR
What to do when there’s a leak:
Finding a leak in your home can be both alarming and confusing, especially when you don’t know the source. People live busy lives, and often don’t have the time to survey their house for potential leaks, or faulty pipes. When faced with a leak, there are a few simple steps that prevent further damage.
#1 SHUT OFF THE SOURCE
If you see a leak, the last thing you want to do is ignore it. When the leak is discovered, the first step is to shut off the water source. If you are unable to stop the water from traveling to the broken pipe or fixture, it is best to turn off the main water line.

#3 CHECK YOUR WATER METER
After turning off all water in your home, including the dishwasher and washing machine, check your water meter. Take a look at the meter for any movement. If the meter rises, there is a chance that you have a serious leak and you should contact a professional. For your own safety, never attempt to access pipes behind walls on your own.
